Tapped by Rocher to permanently furnish this new cultural space, FRAMA invited the design community to join in moving into the expansive interior while taking a “tabula rasa” approach. Pieces from the FRAMA permanent collection transformed the interior into a new landscape informed by a material-driven perspective and expanded by its new context.

With a focus on FRAMA’s newly-launched Flat Folding Chair, a piece designed by Mumbai-based Case Goods, the installation also drew on details from India’s rich history with craft and workshop culture—gathering people into the space to participate in it, in a new interior landscape.
The unique elements of the chair were unmistakable when attendees were invited to bring the chair they sat on home with them; putting the lightweight portability of the piece to the comfort test.

Throughout the space, pieces including the Farmhouse Table and Rivet Case were brought into view alongside the newly-launched Folding Flat Chair and work-in-progress sculptures from Nicholas Shurey.
The British Sculptor showed a vulnerable series that breaks from his typically large-scale, polished commissions—ranging from raw pieces of wood to sculpted works. Connecting the values of craftsmanship and natural materials, the sculptures created a red thread: an ode to design process.
