Rivet Shelf | Aluminum | Small
The Rivet Shelf explores basic storing facets within one shape while functioning as a storage and display platform. Based on a riveting technique suitable for making perpendicular joints between separate, laser-cut raw aluminum sheets, the shelf is put together by hand using a hammer in a cold-forming assembly process developed by designer Jonas Trampedach in 2011.

RIVET SERIES: PATINA
Each rivet piece is one of a kind and hammered by hand using the traditional riveting technique. Due to the unfinished and raw nature of aluminum, scratches and natural irregularities on the surface might be originally present. The material will develop an individual patina over time, and marks and tinted materiality will occur which adds a unique look to your furniture piece.
Rivet Shelf makes for a practical and aesthetic storage solution. The first piece in the Rivet Series was developed in 2011 at the Statens Værksteder for Kunst, National Workshops for Arts in Copenhagen, aiming to find an alternative to welding aluminum.
The Rivet design is a symbiosis between craftsmanship and industrial production.
