The materials used are uncoated and they will develop a graceful patina over time, especially when placed outdoors
Due to the raw nature of the materials, each piece of marble and steel are unique and possible irregularities are a natural characteristic of the materials

For routine cleaning the steel, ph-neutral soap and water is sufficient when applied with a sponge or cloth
Daily cleaning of the marble is done with a soft cloth wrung out in clean water
Avoid ammonia-based or harsh abrasive chemical cleaners
Various treatments exist to treat marble, including wax, oil, and soap flake polishes
